Active practices to release stress and emotions, and find a living silence.
Have you tried meditating, but thoughts keep flowing, the body grows restless, and you give up thinking it is not for you? The tradition of Osho's active meditations answers precisely this difficulty.
Osho drew from the great traditions (tantra, kundalini, Sufism, breathwork) and from Western psychology to create practices where you begin by moving, breathing, vibrating and expressing — before welcoming silence.
The idea is simple: you cannot silence an agitated mind by willpower alone. But you can release the energy and emotions that feed it; then silence arises by itself.

The most famous: 5 stages (rapid breathing, catharsis, 'hoo', jumping, silence) to discharge and be reborn to yourself. In the morning, on an empty stomach, it awakens all your energy.
Gentle shaking, free dance then stillness: it lets energy flow from the lower body upwards and releases deep evening tensions.
Slow conscious breathing followed by gazing at a flame: a bridge between breath, attention and inner silence.
Humming, then gentle arm swaying and silence: it harmonises both hemispheres and calms the mind.
An evening practice, danced and sung, that opens the heart and dissolves the day's accumulated tension.
A complete ritual (kriya, pranayama, meditation) practised at dawn to start the day centred and alive.
What active meditation releases in the body, silent meditation integrates into the being.
